Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer (Full Stack)

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid - 1 day/week onsite or 2 days every 2 weeks)

Duration: 12+ Months

Client: State of Connecticut - Department of Children and Families (DCF)

Job Description

The State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to support and enhance mission-critical child welfare applications and participate in the development of the next-generation Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS).

The selected candidate will work closely with business and technical teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), supporting existing Salesforce applications while ensuring knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance of new solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of overall software development experience
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Apex (OOP concepts and Design Patterns)
  • Experience with Lightning Components and Visualforce Pages
  • Hands-on Salesforce configuration, CRUD operations, and SOQL
  • Full SDLC experience including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Experience with .NET Framework, SOA, and web services
  • SQL development experience
  • JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks preferred
  • End-to-end web application development experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects from requirements through implementation

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning, and Visualforce
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Support integration efforts between Salesforce and enterprise applications
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and maintainability

Work Authorization

  • H1B candidates are welcome; approved I-140 is required.
  • Candidate must be local to Connecticut or willing to relocate/commute.

Interview Process
