Job description

Location: Cincinnati, OH (On-site)
Department: Technology
About the Role / Position Summary
The Lead Full Stack Engineer is a hands-on technical lead responsible for designing, building, and operating modern business-critical applications end-to-end. You will own the full delivery lifecycle (architecture, implementation, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and production operations) while partnering closely with business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable solutions. The tech stack is primarily Microsoft - Azure (App services, Functions, networking, identity), .NET, Angular, SQL Server, and modern Microsoft DevOps practices and tooling (CI/CD, IaC), and will use AI-augmented development practices where it improves quality and speed. You'll join a small, high-trust team where you can move quickly, shape standards, and make a visible impact.
What You'll Do / Position Responsibilities
Scope & Impact
  • Build, integrate, and modernize a mix of SaaS platforms and custom applications that run key workflows across the business.
  • Partner with a small engineering team and business stakeholders to translate needs into shipped capabilities.
  • Make high-leverage technical decisions that improve customer experience, reliability, and delivery speed.

Own Full Stack Delivery
  • Architect and deliver scalable applications across frontend and backend layers.
  • Shape clean APIs, data models, and service boundaries, optimizing for simplicity, resilience, and change.
  • Ship production-grade code with strong engineering discipline (testing, documentation, and observability).

Build Secure Cloud Platforms on Azure
  • Design and implement Azure-native solutions (App Services, Functions, containers, networking, and identity) that are secure and operationally ready.
  • Automate infrastructure with Terraform (or equivalent IaC) to enable repeatable, auditable environments.
  • Build, harden, and evolve CI/CD pipelines and environment strategies to accelerate safe delivery.

Operate with End-to-End Accountability
  • Lead solutions from concept to production with minimal handoffs - owning quality, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Drive sound trade-offs across customer needs, performance, cost, risk, and delivery speed.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across application, infrastructure, and deployment layers - restoring service quickly and preventing recurrence.

Drive Engineering Excellence
  • Raise reliability and maintainability through modern engineering practices (clean architecture, automated testing, performance tuning, and observability).
  • Leverage automation and AI-assisted tooling to streamline development workflows and improve throughput without sacrificing quality.
  • Multiply team impact by mentoring, unblocking peers, and setting a high bar through design and delivery.

What We Expect / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in full stack development with end-to-end ownership and architectural leadership; financial services experience preferred.
  • Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate peers through pairing, design reviews, and code reviews, improving team outcomes, not just individual output.
  • Collaborate deeply with engineers, product, and business partners, bringing the team along through clear technical direction, pragmatic decision-making, and constructive feedback.
  • Exemplary ability to stay current with the evolution of technology.

What We Offer / Benefits & Compensation
  • Competitive compensation and bonus opportunities commensurate with qualifications and performance.
  • Employer-paid life, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability coverage plus subsidized Medical, Dental, & Vision plans.
  • Wealth Benefits including 401(k) and ESOP Programs with company contributions.
  • Paid Time Off (Holidays, PTO, Parental Leave).
  • Flexible work options designed to support work-life balance while maintaining productivity and collaboration.
  • Employee-led culture committees focused on engagement, well-being, diversity, and a positive workplace environment.
  • A structured mentorship program that fosters professional growth, knowledge sharing, and leadership development through meaningful one-on-one connections.
  • Tuition reimbursement for approved educational programs to support continued learning and career development.
  • Reimbursement for eligible professional certifications and industry-recognized designations.
  • Access to comprehensive wellness programs that support physical, mental, and overall well-being.
