This role drives the translation of complex business requirements into technical solutions using modern front-end frameworks and backend integrations within the Azure cloud ecosystem. The position has significant impact on enterprise risk analytics capabilities, influencing data accessibility, performance optimization, and user experience at scale. Operating within a cross-functional engineering environment, this role collaborates with backend developers and stakeholders while contributing to architecture decisions, engineering standards, and overall solution quality. The role typically reports into a senior engineering or technology lead within the Risk Technology organization and provides technical mentorship to junior engineers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and develop highly scalable, responsive front-end applications using React JS, TypeScript, AG Grid, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Build and maintain reusable UI component libraries and integrate them into Storybook for standardized usage across applications
  • Deliver end-to-end features by collaborating with backend engineers to enhance Python/Django APIs and ensure seamless system integration
  • Deploy applications to production within Azure cloud environments using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and integrated Azure services
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal application scalability and responsiveness
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms across applications and environments
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and testable code, including unit testing, while contributing to engineering best practices and standards
  • Produce technical documentation and clearly communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and implementation details to stakeholders
  • Execute data-driven functionality by leveraging SQL and integrating with Azure Databricks and related data workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical delivery with business and risk management objectives
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, supporting skill development and code quality improvement
  • Take ownership of deliverables, working independently or within teams to ensure timely and high-quality completion

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript and front-end application development
  • Strong expertise in building production-grade UI applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with AG Grid, including server-side data processing, filtering, and performance tuning
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining shared UI component libraries and design systems (Storybook)
  • Proficiency with modern development tooling (Node.js, Vite, npm workspaces/monorepos)
  • Experience integrating front-end applications with backend systems using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Exposure to Azure cloud services, including App Services, Functions, and container-based deployments

  • Knowledge of financial services and risk management domain is highly desirable
  • Direct influence on enterprise-level risk applications and decision-making platforms
  • Responsible for delivering scalable solutions that support high-volume data processing and analytics
  • Contributes to engineering standards, architectural direction, and platform stability
  • Impacts productivity and effectiveness of both technical teams and business stakeholders through improved tooling and user experience
