Associate Financial Professional

This Associate Advisor position is for someone looking to grow in the industry as you support and partner with a group of seasoned Advisors. You will work to support and deepen relationships with a very large existing customer base. The Advisor is responsible for working with customers to help determine the best way to serve the customers best interest with investment products and financial services Cetera offers. With a strong focus on customer service and sales, the Advisor should be a true "people person" who enjoys developing professional and mutually beneficial relationships with a wide variety of customers. We will fully support you with an open product platform and resources in the financial industry so you can nurture relationships with customers. Candidates should be self-motivated and driven to exceed expectations in all that they do.ย 

What You Will Do:ย 

  • Collecting and analyzing information regarding the customer risk tolerance, long- and short-term goals, income, assets, investments, and debts; determining which products best meet the customer needs and circumstances.ย 
  • Advising the customer regarding the advantages, risks, and disadvantages of different investment opportunitiesย 
  • Developing internal referral resources to identify existing customersย 
  • Understanding and complying with all aspects of Cetera policies and practices, including laws and regulations governing the duties and responsibilities of product salesย 
  • Maintaining all necessary licenses and registrations as required
  • Successfully completing all mandatory training in a timely mannerย 
  • Maintaining superior and courteous service to promote Cetera and expand customer relationshipsย 
  • Exceeding customer expectations in terms of accuracy, efficiency, courtesy, and professionalism

What you need to have:ย 

  • Series 7, 63, 65 or 66, and Life, Accident & Health Insurance licenses, or ability to obtain as required for the role.
  • Must pass criminal and credit background checks and maintain a clean U4 with FINRA.
  • ย Must be highly committed to growing and developing a book of business using a service-to-sales model.
  • Work arrangement, travel, schedule, on-call expectations, and physical requirements were not specified in the source job description.
  • Role includes an expected 18-24 month learning curve before potential progression to a Financial Advisor role.

The base annual salary for this role is $55,500, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
