Essential functions & Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:



  • 1) Solicit mortgage loans. Inform prospective loan customers of the Bank’s underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations.

  • 2) Counsel loan applicants. Process and review mortgage applications; track and follow-up loan application processing, to include closing loan documents and other associated follow-up.

  • 3) Develop referral and Realtor relationships both within the Bank and the market place through personal contact.

  • 4) Develop and implement programs to enhance the Bank's delivery process and market share of retail loans to support the Bank’s business plan.

  • 5) Serves as a backup for other position(s) and performs other duties, as assigned. *

  • 6) Enhances career through work experience and continuing education. *

  • 7) Maintains compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. *

  • 8) Participates and responds to examinations, audits and third party reviews. *

  • 9) Complies with the Information Security Program and is accountable for maintaining a high level of risk and security awareness. *

  • 10) Establishes a good image for the Bank by being active and visible in the community. *

  • 11) Attends meetings as assigned. *

Education & Experience

Associates degree (A. A.)required; one to three years related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills

Above average verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Math

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Certificates, Licenses & Registrations

Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS). If not yet registered, registration to be completed and accepted no later than 30 days from employment or transfer date. If not registered and accepted, employment may be terminated.


Driver's License & Travel

Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to outlying branch areas, as business needs dictate.
