Lazard is seeking an M&A Associate to join the Industrials team in Minneapolis.ย  The position offers an outstanding career opportunity in investment banking with a highly successful team specializing in middle market mergers and acquisitions.


We'll trust you to:

  • Prepare and participate in new business presentations
  • Conduct business research
  • Perform valuation analysis and financial modeling
  • Prepare confidential offering memoranda
  • Develop potential buyer lists
  • Prepare management presentations
  • Engage in significant client interaction at multiple levels
  • Interact with potential buyers and lead due diligence activities
  • Participate in the development, training, and mentoring of Analysts

You'll need to have:

  • Three years of experience as an investment banking Analyst or at least one year of experience as an Associate, strongly preferred; candidates who have extensive prior experience in related fields such as audit, financial accounting or transaction advisory services may also be considered
  • An MBAย or equivalent graduate school degree in progress, preferred but not required
  • Strong undergraduate and graduate academic performance (3.5ย GPA or better)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule
  • High motivation with a strong desire to be the "best of the best"

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $185,000 - $250,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant's years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory's compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
