Role Description:

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (internally known as, Planning & Reserving Associate, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reserving activities that help guide strategic decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with experienced team members to develop plan exhibits, compile financial projections, and analyze budget versus actual results.

You will contribute to maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating plan updates with cross-functional stakeholders, and assisting in the preparation and validation of actuarial reserve analyses. This is an excellent opportunity to build foundational knowledge of the insurance industry while strengthening your analytical, technical, and communication skills in a collaborative and data-driven environment. Your work will directly support leadership insights and help ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting processes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Actuarial Science or a related field is required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years of professional experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Foundational analytical skills with the ability to compile and interpret data
  • Ability to follow direction, manage tasks, and maintain consistent productivity
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Exposure to financial planning, budgeting, or actuarial concepts
    • Familiarity with insurance industry practices or financial processes
    • Experience supporting reporting, forecasting, or data analysis initiatives
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams or presenting information to stakeholders

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
