Job Description FP&A Manager Lafayette, IN Direct Hire Compensation: $135k-$145k plus bonus Key Responsibilities Own and continuously improve standard costing processes and cost models across the business. Perform detailed variance analysis on material, labor, and overhead costs to identify trends and opportunities. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to support cost, margin, and profitability decisions.

Support pricing, quoting, and profitability analysis for new and existing products. Identify cost inconsistencies, margin risks, and opportunities for operational improvements. Drive process improvements through automation, AI tools, and system enhancements.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities. Initially spend approximately 50% of the role focused on cost accounting and 50% on FP&A, with the position evolving toward a greater FP&A focus over time. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, cost accounting, or FP&A within a manufacturing environment. Strong standard costing experience with a deep understanding of manufacturing cost models. Proven experience performing profitability, cost, and variance analysis.

Manufacturing experience is required, including understanding how production variables (material gauges, weights, machine speeds, changeovers, and energy consumption) impact product costs and margins. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into business recommendations. Technologically savvy and enthusiastic about leveraging AI, automation, and financial systems to improve processes.

Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience is strongly preferred. Self-motivated and comfortable in a hands-on individual contributor role without direct reports. Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
