An Associate Financial Advisor supports senior financial advisors in providing investment and financial planning services to clients. Their responsibilities often include conducting research, preparing financial plans, assisting with client meetings, and managing client accounts. They may also help with administrative tasks and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role is typically an entry-level position designed to help individuals gain experience and work toward becoming a full-fledged financial advisor.

What are some typical challenges an associate financial advisor may face when building their client base?

As an Associate Financial Advisor, one common challenge is establishing trust with potential clients, especially when you are early in your career and may not have an extensive track record. • Upon obtaining your Ohio Life & Health, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses: base increases to $50,000/year
  • Upon earning your CFP designation: base increases to $55,000/year

  • Participation in the team BIP based on new assets gathered each quarter
  • Divided among all non-advisor full-time team members; calculated after each quarter-end

  • $3,000 per $1 million in new assets placed (assets the firm earns revenue from)
  • Example: $10M in new assets in a year = $30,000 in additional compensation
  • Calculated shortly after each quarter and advanced to you
  • Investment-agnosticโ€”you act in the best interest of the client

What We Offer

  • 401(k)/Roth 401(k) with company match
  • Health insurance with nearly 100% of premiums covered by the firm
  • Firm contributions to HSA
