Job description

Position Title: Associate Financial Advisor
Salary Range: $145,000-$205,000 / Year, DOE
This is a true next-step opportunity for an experienced wealth management professional who is ready to move beyond a support-only role and build toward owning client relationships. The Associate Financial Advisor / Senior Client Service Associate will work directly with high-net-worth clients, manage the day-to-day details of complex accounts, support portfolio and financial planning conversations, and gradually assume responsibility for a dedicated book of client relationships. You will handle everything from account administration and performance reporting to portfolio discussions, planning scenarios and coordination with clients' attorneys and accountants.
The ideal candidate is an experienced financial advisor who combines exceptional attention to detail with the confidence and credibility to speak directly with clients about their portfolios, financial goals and market activity.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and service high-net-worth client accounts, including account openings, transfers, transaction processing, required minimum distributions and general account administration
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding account questions, portfolio performance, market activity, planning needs and money movements
  • Support senior advisors in managing key client relationships through meeting preparation, follow-up and ongoing client communication
  • Monitor client investments and portfolio performance, identify areas requiring attention and assist with implementing recommended changes
  • Build and run financial planning scenarios, interpret results and help present planning recommendations directly to clients
  • Coordinate with clients' attorneys, accountants and other outside professionals on tax, estate and broader financial planning matters
  • Develop toward direct ownership of client relationships while contributing to prospective client proposals and new business opportunities

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience within an RIA, wealth management firm, private bank, or similar financial services environment, including experience as a Financial Advisor
  • Proven ability to communicate directly with clients and confidently discuss portfolios, performance, financial planning topics, and market activity
  • Series 65 license required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience servicing high-net-worth clients with the ability to manage multiple relationships, priorities and account details simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word with experience using financial planning or wealth management technology
  • Strong client service, relationship-building and sales skills with the desire to grow into greater ownership of client relationships
