Job description

Performs professional technical work supporting resources for assigned budget, financial, and business application systems maintained by the Office of Financial Management and Budget. Serves as the subject matter expert responsible for the planning, analysis, implementation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of financial and business application systems. Work involves system administration, business process analysis, data analysis, reporting, software implementation support, user support, and cross-functional collaboration with divisions throughout the Office of Financial Management and Budget and other County departments that are users of these systems. Works independently evaluating, implementing, and maintaining systems that comply with applicable County policies and Florida Statutes. Work is performed under the general supervision of an administrative superior and is reviewed upon completion for adherence to established policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
โ€ข A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public/Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; minimum of three (3) years of experience in budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and/or the administration, support, implementation, or maintenance of financial, business, or enterprise applications systems,
OR
โ€ข A Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public/Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; minimum of two (2) years of experience in budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and/or the administration, support, implementation, or maintenance of financial, business, or enterprise applications systems,
OR
โ€ข An unrelated Bachelor's Degree/related Associate's Degree; minimum of four (4) years of experience in budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and/or the administration, support, implementation, or maintenance of financial, business, or enterprise applications systems,
OR
โ€ข Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, and/or the administration, support, implementation, or maintenance of financial, business, or enterprise applications systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience as administrator for governmental accounting, budgeting, and reporting systems,
  • Experience creating complex reports using Crystal or other similar reporting tools and
  • Experience preparing /reviewing budgets.
