SUMMARY

Performs golf course maintenance and construction project work.


HOURS/DAYS

Hours and days fluctuate accordingly to the needs of H.O.A. and club grounds.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operation and knowledge of all EOI duties and responsibilities.
  • Operates fairway mowers.
  • Operates rough mowers, pull behind gang type units.
  • Operates Topdressers, meter-matic and terra-topper.
  • Operates green aerifiers.
  • Operates loader/tractors.
  • Capable of doing necessary duties for golf course set up.
  • Attends any and all department meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS USED

Power vehicles and mowers, electric and fuel power tools, hand tools, radios.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Field experience in a similar capacity preferred. Experience on a golf course is a plus.

Required knowledge of procedures, safety rules,, tools, methods and materials used for golf course maintenance and construction. Safe operation and servicing of tractors and mowers.

The position requires work performed in indoor and outdoor environments. Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions. Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, fumes and airborne particles and chemicals. Active, physical work involving heavy lifting (+50) pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking long distances, driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time. Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close and distant vision. Use of ear protection, eye protection and other safety equipment.
