They typically work for public accounting firms and contribute to audit planning, fieldwork, and the preparation of audit reports. Their responsibilities include testing financial transactions, evaluating internal controls, and documenting findings under the supervision of senior auditors. This role is a foundational position for those seeking a career in audit and assurance services.
