Job description

Skoda Contracting is a natural gas utility contractor company hiring an Associate Engineer to work in our construction engineering department. This position will be based in Fords, NJ.

Job Description:

  • Conduct site visits during construction, keeping accurate measurements, field notes, and sketches
  • Prepare main as-built drawings in AutoCAD, along with service records
  • Complete internal Skoda documentation for recordkeeping, billing, and cost tracking
  • Perform data entry in client databases (e.g., Maximo)
  • Review ETG construction documents for cost estimating and participate in takeoff meetings prior to project start
  • Assist with maintaining crew schedules
  • Operate GPS devices to support pipeline installation tracking
  • Verify on-site records to prevent damage to existing utilities prior to construction
  • Conduct pre-construction site visits and prepare looker reports outlining personnel and equipment needs
  • Perform other duties as required to support project completion

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • This is an onsite position.
