Job description

Job Summary:

The Associate Systems Engineer ensures the availability, security, and performance of the enterprise infrastructure. This role focuses on the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Windows Server (2022/2025) environments, Active Directory, and foundational virtualization technologies. Acting as a foundational technical resource, the Associate Engineer assists with system upgrades, troubleshoots service disruptions, and maintains comprehensive technical documentation to support operational continuity.

Job Duties:

  • Monitors and maintains servers and possibly storage systems
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots system issues
  • Assists with the performance and coordination server replacements and server builds
  • Monitors, manages and maintains Active Directory
  • Acts as a technical resource for the Project Management Office
  • Completes and upgrades system documentation
  • Responsible for remoteadministration, designand implement of troubleshooting issues,andupdate/deploy Microsoftsolutions
  • Triage and resolve escalations from the team within defined customer SLAs
  • Be a problem solver -Identifysolutions for hardware, software,and network issues
  • Leverage remote support tools to resolve support requests
  • Communicate with clientsand project leadsin a highly professional andtimelymanner
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, preferred

Experience:

  • One (1) or more years of experience managing multiple systems, required
  • Ability to update and manage technical Tier 1, 2 and 3 escalation issues andidentifysolutions in fast-paced environment,required
  • Prior experience with HP ProLiant servers, HP Blade chassis, Cisco UCS Servers, preferred

License/Certifications:

  • Microsoft MCSA / MCSE certification, preferred
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), preferred

Software:

  • Prior experience managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows Servers 2022/2025; Windows 11, required
  • Prior experience or knowledge of VMWare ESX v8, preferred
  • Prior experience with RedHat Linux v8 or newer, preferred

Language:

  • N/A

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
  • Capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment while handle multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $100,000 - $120,000
Maryland Range: $100,000 - $120,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $120,000
