Job description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is searching for an Avionics Technician with experience in the aviation industry.

Work schedule of 5x2 working in Picayune, MS.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

  • Avionics Techs work safely and efficiently and assist with technical problems where needed.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and installation of avionics equipment as well as wire harness fabrication.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting wiring schematics.
  • Must be well versed on FAR 91.411 and 91.413.
  • Follows electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications as defined by the company.
  • Maintains documentation (records), as required, on all work performed by loading these records into work management software program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications

Required:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 years of experience required. 

Preferred:  Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 3-5 years' experience preferred; FCC license and NCATTAET preferred.
