ABOUT THE TEAM:
Walmart-VIZIO's Embedded Software organization develops cross-platform UI application experiences for millions of Smart TV customers. Our teams build high-performance, visually polished interfaces running on embedded Linux-based devices. As part of our unified engineering organization, you will collaborate closely with product, design, platform, and system engineering groups to deliver exceptionalendto-endconsumer experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Develop and enhanceUI applicationsrunning on an embedded Linux environment.
  • Implement features within the UI engine and application stack with a focus on performance, smooth rendering, and system stability.
  • Contribute to design discussions and support development of distributed UI architecture components.
  • Build solutions that meetperformance, memory, and device-level constraintsacross various SoCs.
  • Investigate and resolve issues across UI layers, middleware, and system integration points.
  • Collaborate with product, design, QA, and platform teams to ensure alignment on requirements and expected behaviors.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
ABOUT YOU:
  • REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience withC++or anothersystemslevelprogramming language.
  • Experience withUI frameworks,renderingpipelines, or embedded UI systems.
  • Strongproblemsolvingskills and ability to understand complex system interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliverhighqualitycode with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative,fastmovingengineering environment.
  • PREFERRED:
  • Experience developing UI applications forconsumer electronicsor embedded products.
  • Familiarity with React Native, React, or similarcrossplatformUI technologies.
  • Understanding ofGPUutilization,renderingoptimization, orhardwareacceleratedgraphics.
  • Experience working withresourceconstrainedormemorylimitedsystems.
  • Exposure togame loops, animation frameworks, or rendering stacks in embedded UI environments.
  • Strong communicationskills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
