The Opportunity

As an Associate Manager - Power BI Architect, you will play a key role in designing and delivering enterprisescale analytics solutions for Avanade clients using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric-based analytics architectures, along with Azure data platforms. You will work closely with client stakeholders and delivery teams to translate business needs into wellarchitected, performant, and governable analytics solutions.

At this level, the role is handson and clientfacing, balancing solution architecture responsibilities with delivery execution, technical leadership, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

What You'll Do

  • Design and deliver endtoend Power BI and Fabric-enabled analytics solutions, including semantic models, datasets, reports, and dashboards aligned to client business objectives.

  • Define Power BI and Microsoft Fabric architectural patterns that support scalability, performance, security, and selfservice analytics.

  • Serve as the Power BI technical lead within a project workstream, contributing to solution quality and delivery success.

  • Design optimized data models using Power BI, Fabric semantic models, DAX, SQL, and dimensional modeling best practices.

  • Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric components (e.g., Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines) and collaborate with data engineering teams on ingestion, transformation, and refresh strategies.

  • Implement governance, security (including rowlevel security), deployment, and lifecycle management practices aligned with enterprise and Fabric tenant standards.

  • Communicate architecture decisions and tradeoffs clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Mentor and support Power BI developers and analysts through design guidance, reviews, and knowledge sharing

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics roles, with strong handson Power BI experience.

  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise Power BI solutions, ideally within consulting or clientfacing environments.

  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling concepts.

  • Handson experience with Microsoft Fabric, including semantic models, Lakehouse or Warehouse workloads, and integration with Power BI.

  • Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data warehousing and analytics architecture principles.

  • Experience working with Azure and/or Fabric data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse).

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and crossfunctional delivery teams.

Nice to Have

  • Consulting or clientfacing delivery experience.

  • Experience with Power BI Embedded, Fabric CI/CD, or analytics deployment pipelines.

  • Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Power BI / Azure Data certifications.

Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a brand new position.
