ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The Associate Director of IT Development, Integrations, and Customer Solutions is responsible for leading all strategic and tactical efforts relating to custom development of all SAP applications, related integrations, and adjunct customer facing solutions. The role works closely with executives across the Commercial Ops, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR functions to develop and realize IT strategies which drive value across the business. As well, this position serves as a member of the IT leadership team and plays a critical role in engaging, managing, and driving results across the full internal and external IT team. The position scope includes establishing development standards and reference architectures, identifying and implementing software platforms and custom programs, and collaborating with IT and business team members to translate business requirements into designs which leverage the full capabilities of Avanos IT investments. The incumbent will lead a team of analysts and developers across a wide range of technologies/platforms (S4 HANA, PI/PO, ABAP, Web Dynpro, Fiori, CPI, Salesforce, Success Factors, STIBO, etc.) to ensure consistent design and execution throughout the Avanos systems landscape. This role will also ensure system compliance with HIPAA, PCI, GDPR and other relevant data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete ownership of all S4 HANA solution technical development including performance of quality checks, code reviews, and enforcing industry standard development practices
  • Drive, create & maintain development best practices & standards for all applications, data, and integrations
  • Provide leadership & work direction for developers of several platforms across the globe
  • Maintain complete project and solution development documentation
  • Strategic management of the customer facing systems portfolio in support of sales, marketing, and eCommerce.
  • Optimize existing HR technology investments by collaborating with the Global HRIS Operations team to capture requirements for new business capabilities and ensure IT partnership and support is adequately provided for projects, enhancements, and incidents
  • Program planning and execution across multiple initiatives including budgeting, project reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Continual evaluation of leading technology and industry trends to determine their potential impact on Avanos’ ERP strategy and recommending new technologies as appropriate to drive application and business performance
  • Utilize an extensive IT Development knowledge reservoir at the domain level to support change management and business adoption of technologies
  • Continually cultivate a deep understanding of all Avanos IT platforms and applications and their relationship to the S4 Hana ERP core
  • Continually analyze the ERP environment to identify critical issues / opportunities and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Perform analysis of cross-functional and complex business requirements
  • Collaborate with M&A project teams across the organization to develop recommendations for integrating acquired applications
  • Collaborate extensively with Avanos IT application leaders in developing and optimizing our ERP solution and its associated integrations to other systems
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed (domestic and international)

Qualifications

Required

  • BA, BS or Masters degree in a Computer Science or Information systems related discipline, MBA is a plus
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in information technology including software analysis/design, implementation, and support
  • 10+ years of development experience across multiple SAP platforms (PI/PO, ABAP, Web Dynpro, Fiori, CPI, etc.) including hands on experience implementing User Exits, ABAP Enhancements, Report and transaction objects, Scripts, BAPIs, and multiple internal / external integration technologies
  • Ability to lead a team responsible for delivering strategy, support, enhancements, integrations and transformative new capabilities globally across the Commercial Ops (including e-Commerce), Supply Chain, Finance, and HR functions
  • Significant experience working with third parties to achieve business outcomes
  • Project and program management experience with implementations of various sizes across varying technologies
  • Must have experience in managing large and complex budgets in a collaborative business environment. Strong financial acumen and cost management skills including estimating, budgeting and forecasting are a must.
  • Ability to understand, document, and translate business needs into solution requirements
  • Ability to identify and analyze multiple solution options across a broad business scope
  • Able to establish strong relationships with IT SMEs and business leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as an effective member of the senior management team capable of communicating IT concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the organization in both a written and verbal manner.
  • Experience working in a global organization across the full range of SDLC business processes: requirements, design, development, testing and deployment.
  • Experience leading and motivating a global interdisciplinary team, demonstrating the ability to mentor / grow talent & promote a culture of accountability and agility.
  • Must be able to work with multiple project teams simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to act as a thought leader capable of articulating strategy and rationale for change in order to build consensus and drive action.
