Job description

Head of Creative | Family First

The Head of Creative will be the driving force behind the visual and conceptual output of our entire organization. This role will bring strategies to life through high-level creative vision, storytelling, and rigorous process management.

This person will be the creative manager of the brand's daily heartbeat—turning strategic goals into impactful campaigns, stunning graphics, and high-production video and podcast content across all organizational pillars. This role reports to the Chief Marketing and Programs Officer.

This is a leadership position designed for a "hands-on visionary" who loves the creative process as much as the final product. You will lead our creative team (graphic designers, web designers and videographers) from ideation to execution, ensuring that every asset—from a social media reel to a major national campaign—feels sophisticated, intentional, and deeply resonant with our core audience. We are looking for someone who can take a strategic brief and transform it into a creative masterpiece that captures our mission with clarity and cultural relevance.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in creative direction, including significant time spent managing creative teams and complex production workflows.
  • High-Level Ideation: A proven ability to generate original, high-impact ideas for multi-channel campaigns, social media series, and multimedia content.
  • Mastery of Creative Direction: Experience directing a wide range of assets, including digital graphics, long-form video, and podcast branding, with an exceptional eye for refined visual aesthetics.
  • Creative Process Leadership: Expert skills in managing the creative pipeline—running brainstorms, setting production schedules, and ensuring the team meets deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Team Mentorship: A track record of elevating the work of graphic designers, videographers, and web designers through clear, inspiring, and actionable feedback.
  • Deep Cultural Alignment: A profound connection to our family-first mission and core values that allows you to instinctively know what will resonate with our audience and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Local to Tampa, FL: To lead on-site brainstorms and collaborate closely with the creative team in our Tampa hub.
  • Multimedia Versatility: Specific experience providing creative direction for podcasts (audio branding, promotional clips) and short-form video (TikTok/Reels).
  • Adaptability: The ability to pivot smoothly between elevated visual standards and the practical, high-energy needs of a fast-growing digital brand.
  • Agency or In-House Management: Experience in a fast-paced environment where managing multiple creative projects simultaneously across different initiatives is the norm.

What We Offer
We offer a collaborative environment where your creative instincts are valued, and your management style can shape the culture of our team. We provide competitive non-profit compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a workplace that genuinely values our family-first mission alongside a supportive environment that respects work-life balance.

To Apply
Please submit your resume, a link to your digital portfolio, and a cover letter describing your approach to leading a diverse creative team through major organizational campaigns and how your unique perspective shapes your creative vision.
