The Morehouse Center for Excellence in Education (MCEE) seeks an Assistant Director of Academic Programs & Strategic Initiatives to oversee all aspects of academic programs including hiring staff and consultants, budgeting, advertising, setting program scope and deadlines, and delegating tasks to program teams.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Education or related field.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Essential Duties/Responsiblities
1. Communicates with and responds to student, faculty, administrator, and staff program issues, questions, challenges, and opportunities.
2. Validates data and tracks the enrollment growth of the education program and the satisfaction of the current students for all non-faculty/academic components.
3. Cultivates, grows, and maintains relationships with alumni in education.
4. Communicates with prospective education students, processes application materials.
5. Serves and provides guidance, counseling, and advisement to students in the education program regarding requirements for the major, processes, and policies (e.g., orientation, course selection, registration, etc.)
6. Identifies opportunities and resolves challenges influencing program success, student and stakeholder satisfaction.
7. Communicates and collaborates with the MCEE program team, other academic departments, admin, staff, faculty, and other Morehouse units.
8. Monitors program activities, identifies challenges and opportunities, and reports the information to the Director and team, as requested.
9. Organizes, participates, contributes, and leads program staff meetings, information sessions, orientations, and other MCEE sponsored related events.
10. Liaises with community partners, education partners, and other key stakeholders.
11. Assists in the development of new education courses, experiential, and co-curricular initiatives.
12. Develops and maintains a database of placement sites for student internships, fellowships, and residencies.
13. Manages the process to match students with career and graduate program placement opportunities.
