The Role

A project-level civil engineering position with real ownership across planning, design, and permitting. You'll manage client relationships, lead technical work, and contribute to business development while working alongside a multi-disciplinary team on a diverse portfolio of land development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects
  • Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control from concept through completion
  • Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, SWPPP preparation, and water quality compliance
  • Manage multiple projects within budget, schedule, and deadline requirements
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and support new business development
  • Write and review feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports
  • Mentor and support junior staff development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Active PE license
  • 6+ years of site/civil land development experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through construction documents
  • Strong client communication, development, and management skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across a variety of project types including commercial, institutional, and mixed-use
  • Familiarity with Washington State stormwater and permitting requirements
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary project teams

Compensation

  • $85,000 to $140,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus
