Our mission is to continuously and passionately advance the art of dwelling and the joy of living.
We're looking for a Senior Designer who combines exceptional design ability with technical expertise and a passion for custom residential architecture. Working closely with Principals and Associates, you'll contribute to every phase of custom residential project development, build lasting client relationships, mentor emerging designers, and help shape exceptional homes from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to all phases of custom residential project development, from permitting and early design through construction administration and project completion.
  • Develop thoughtful design solutions and technical documentation that carry design intent through every stage of the project.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate project schedules, consultants, documentation, and construction administration activities to support successful project execution.
  • Develop schematic designs, presentation materials, and material selections that support the overall design vision while ensuring technical quality and code compliance.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture through technical guidance and design reviews.

Qualifications
  • B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited program
  • 8-10+ years of professional architectural experience with a strong focus on custom residential design.
  • Professional architectural license preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality design and construction documentation across all project phases
  • Strong technical understanding of residential architecture, wood-frame construction, building codes, and construction administration.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • Strong collaborative leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing team members.
  • Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. Strong hand sketching skills are preferred.

$85,000 - $112,000 a year
This represents the full salary range for the position. Placement within the range is based on experience and qualifications. New hires are typically placed within the lower to middle portion of the range, with opportunities for salary growth as they develop in the role and advance within the firm.
