  • Utilize industry-standard software to prepare high-quality technical drawings and production documentation.
  • Advise project teams on material selection, fabrication methods, structural considerations, and installation approaches.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA guidelines, applicable codes, regulatory standards, and client requirements.
  • Create site-specific design recommendations that adapt signage systems to unique architectural and operational conditions.
  • Lead the technical development of complex signage projects while coordinating closely with designers, program managers, clients, and sign fabricators.
  • Review technical documentation for accuracy, constructability, and quality throughout the project delivery process.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of technical standards, drawing templates, documentation practices, and project workflows.
  • Participate in prototype development, mock-ups, and technical problem solving related to new signage systems and products.
  • Manage responsibilities across multiple projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, and schedule commitments.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience producing AutoCAD technical documentation related to signage, industrial design, architectural detailing, custom fabrication, or similar disciplines.
  • Educational or professional background in fabrication, industrial design, environmental graphic design, architecture, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; proficiency with Adobe Illustrator is preferred. Experience with SketchUp is beneficial.
  • Extensive experience producing technical documentation suitable for estimating, fabrication, permitting, and construction.
  • Strong understanding of signage manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, materials, and installation practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical design challenges and make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong understanding of the built environment, including architectural detailing, scale, and spatial relationships.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, though travel is expected to be minimal (10% of the time or less).

Compensation
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000
Final salary will be determined based on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, training and experience, and may vary from the amount listed above.
