Associate Dentists typically work under the supervision of a senior dentist or as part of a dental team, focusing on providing patient care. Both roles require similar credentials and work in similar environments, but their scope of responsibility and independence differ.

Yes, to become an associate dentist, you must earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. Additionally, you need to obtain a state license to practice dentistry, which involves passing written and clinical exams. These requirements ensure that associate dentists have the necessary education and skills to provide dental care safely and effectively.
