Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
Location: Novato, CA 94949
Type: Contract
Compensation: $28.00/hr + shift differential
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Sunday - Tuesday and alternating every other Wednesday from 6am - 7pm)
Overview
Leading biotechnology company looking for an experienced Manufacturing Associate. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or Associates degree in science or Biotech certificate with 2+ years of biotech manufacturing or regulated industry experience.
Responsibilities
  • Understand process theory and equipment operation within biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Support initiatives for process optimization and identify processing issues, supporting solutions.
  • Gain experience with automation systems such as LIMS, MES, PI, etc.
  • Provide feedback and suggested changes to operational procedures, assisting in incorporating new technologies and standards.
  • Capable of writing and reviewing process documents to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Utilize Quality systems including Deviations, CAPAs, Change Requests, and Action/Alert Reports.
  • Participate in projects, contribute to outcomes, and support new business systems like Trackwise and ERP.
  • Support trending of department metrics and process improvements.
  • Perform strenuous, repetitive physical work including bending, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling, and equipment connections.
  • Regularly lift, dispense, push, and pull items weighing approximately 25 pounds.
  • Work around loud equipment and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Support various shift-based work and off-hours as needed.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, or an Associate's degree in science with 2+ years of biotech manufacturing experience, or a biotech certificate.
  • Understanding of process theory, equipment operation, and cGMP compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating conflict resolution and collaboration skills.
  • Good initiative to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
