Role Description This full-time, on-site High School Mathematics Teacher role is based at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, MA. The teacher will design and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the schoolโs curriculum and standards, including courses such as Algebra and other high school math subjects. Daily responsibilities include planning and assessing lessons, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, providing timely feedback on student work, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, communicating regularly with families and support staff, integrating technology into instruction, and contributing to the broader school community and Catholic mission through participation in meetings, professional development, and school events.
Qualifications
- Strong content knowledge in Mathematics, including Algebra and other high school-level math courses.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation, with the ability to design engaging, standards-based instruction.
- Effective Communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues in a collaborative school environment.
- Experience teaching at the middle school or high school level, or relevant practicum/field experience in secondary education.
- Bachelorโs degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Appropriate teaching licensure or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts (or willingness to obtain).
- Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school while welcoming students of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to use educational technology and learning management systems to enhance instruction and assessment.
