Job description

Under the supervision of the designated Coordinator, performs clinical laboratory procedures, quality control, and instrument maintenance. The position reports to the Laboratory Director through the Coordinator. The Medical Lab Technician also maintains cooperative working relationships with intradepartmental and interdepartmental personnel.
Minimum Education:
  • An Associate Degree in Science or an affiliated field with a certification as a Medical Lab Technician by registry board of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
  • Five months or more of clinical training in a hospital laboratory. Registry as MLT with ASCP. One to three years experience is preferred
