Middle School Math Teacher PositionCharter SchoolNew York City AreaCompetitive Salary Range that Outpaces DOE Scale: $75,000 to $110,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience
Terrific Middle School Math Teacher position beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year with a Charter School in the NYC area. This position will join a highly collaborative and mission-driven school focused on meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of its 400+ students. The ideal Math Teacher will have a passion for teaching and providing expertise in math education to a student population impacted by foster care or the child welfare system.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and teach curriculum and lessons that comply with Common Core Standards and meet grade expectations and outcomes
  • Provide instruction and expertise in the subject of math education
  • Participate in staff development programs and opportunities
  • Collect and evaluate academic data to inform lessons and instruction
  • Evaluate students progress through a variety of assessments

Qualifications:
  • Approximately 2+ years of relevant teaching experience in math
  • Master's degree preferred, NYS teaching certification is a plus but not required
  • Experience in a charter school environment is a plus
  • Subject matter expert in math education
  • Strong classroom management
