Job description

Qualifications

Applicants must meet Nevada Medicaid QMHA requirements and have one of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or an accepted related field such as Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, Behavioral Science, Family Studies, Child Development, Special Education, etc.
• OR a qualifying bachelor’s degree in another field with the required relevant professional experience
• OR an Associate’s degree in Human Services with the required verified QBA experience
• OR current Nevada RN licensure

Additional Requirements:
• Ability to complete/maintain Nevada Medicaid-required QMHA training
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to pass required background screening
• TB clearance/screening as required
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work under clinical and direct supervision
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health rehabilitative services within the scope of QMHA practice
• Assist with treatment and rehabilitation plan implementation
• Provide Basic Skills Training (BST) services as authorized and appropriate
• Assist clients with developing daily living, communication, social, and coping skills
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in supervision, treatment planning, and care coordination
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, providers, and other members of the treatment team
