Job Description:
Summary:
The BMET II will provide maintenance and technical support function for medical and scientific instrumentation and for the users of this instrumentation by troubleshooting, testing, and repairing biomedical equipment in order to ensure a high level of safe patient care. This individual will perform limited supervisory functions of assigned technicians. The Tech will coordinate major equipment installations and assists in preplanning and device evaluations.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in biomedical technology, electronics or related technical/healthcare fields or completion of US military Biomedical Equipment Specialist program is required.
Five years of experience required or two years of experience with AAMI Biomedical Certification acceptable.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active Biomedical Equipment Technician certification preferred
