Position Overview
The Math Instructional Coach / Student Interventionist / Teacher Mentor is a multifaceted role focused on strengthening mathematics instruction and improving student achievement in grades 3 8. This position integrates instructional coaching, targeted student intervention, and mentorship of new teachers to support a collaborative and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Coaching
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and implement effective, standards-aligned math instruction.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
  • Lead professional development sessions on best practices in math instruction, curriculum alignment, and assessment.
  • Support teachers in analyzing student data to inform instruction and improve outcomes.

Student Intervention
  • Identify students in need of additional support using assessment data.
  • Develop and implement targeted math intervention plans.
  • Provide small group and/or individualized instruction to strengthen foundational skills.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to ensure effectiveness.

Teacher Mentorship
  • Support and mentor new teachers to build confidence and instructional effectiveness.
  • Assist with onboarding, including providing resources and establishing support systems.

Qualifications
