Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The part-time faculty member will be responsible for delivering instruction in assigned courses in accordance with the master course syllabus, stated learning outcomes, and departmental guidelines. They will prepare and maintain course syllabi, develop instructional materials, and design assessments that promote student learning. Faculty are expected to engage students through active and inclusive teaching strategies, provide timely feedback, and foster a supportive classroom environment.
Part-time faculty may be assigned courses in a variety of instructional modalities-including in-person, online, hybrid, or hyflex-and may teach on different days and at various times, including evenings and weekends, depending on departmental needs. Instructors are also responsible for evaluating student performance fairly and consistently while maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance. Part-time faculty should be available to support students through appropriate and accessible means of communication outside of class times. Participation in required orientation sessions, professional development, or departmental training may also be expected. All responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of the college.

Required Education and Experience:Required Minimum Degree Expectations: Master's Degree in Mathematics or Master's Degree plus 18 graduate credits in Mathematics: Minimum Equivalency: none
Equivalent Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated experience teaching post-secondary experience.
Experience with media, evolving instructional technologies, and distance learning programs.
Teaching philosophy that aligns with the DACC mission and values.
Bilingual competence in English and Spanish will be considered an asset.
