Accounting Manager Department: Finance/Administration Reports To: CFO

We're looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and own the monthly close process. McCann Industries distributes construction equipment and building materials across the Midwest. Our accounting group is small enough that you'll know every account and everyone on the team, and the business is complex enough to keep the work interesting โ€” multiple locations, real inventory, and customers who count on us. You'll report directly to the CFO. This is a strong fit if you've spent a couple of years as an accounting supervisor and you're ready to step up and run things.

  • Accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Yearโ€‘end audit prep and the relationship with our outside auditors
  • Tax filings and supporting documentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3โ€“5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years leading people
  • Confidence with GAAP, the close, and financial statement prep
  • Strong Excel skills; ERP experience a plus
  • The ability to explain financial results plainly to people who don't work in accounting
  • CPA is a plus, not a requirement
