Job description

Position Summary

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with routine accounting activities. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of financial information while adhering to company policies and accounting standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Enter financial data into accounting systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and post journal entries as directed.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Process vendor payments and customer receipts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain organized accounting files and records.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
  • Generate reports and spreadsheets for management review.
  • Support audits by providing requested documentation and schedules.
