In this important role, you'll help support the day-to-day financial operations of our community through accounts receivable support, cash handling, resident account activities, accounts payable assistance, and other essential accounting functions. Your work will help ensure accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and smooth operations that ultimately support the care and services we provide to residents every day.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with preparation of daily deposits and supporting documentation
  • Enter cash receipts, checks, ACH transactions, and credit card activity into the accounting system
  • Maintain accurate records of daily cash activity
  • Support resident account activities and documentation
  • Process invoices and assist with accounts payable functions
  • Prepare accounts payable checks for signatures, mailing, and filing
  • Maintain organized accounting and vendor records
  • Run routine reports and assist with audit requests
  • Participate in cross-training to support critical Business Office functions
  • Help maintain continuity of operations during vacations, absences, and staffing transitions
  • Support internal controls, compliance requirements, and proper documentation practices
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Required for the Position
  • High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, cash handling, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting support preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with accounting software systems preferred; MatrixCare experience is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
