Support construction projects behind the scenes through accounting, billing, job tracking, and day-to-day office coordination.




About the Role

To The Rescue is seeking a Construction Accounting & Office Coordinator to support accounting and administrative operations for PRK Williams Building Group, our affiliated construction division serving the Cedar Rapids area.

This role combines construction accounting responsibilities with office and project coordination support. You’ll work with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to help keep projects organized, invoices processed, job costs tracked, and financial records accurate.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed work, staying organized, and supporting fast-moving projects in a collaborative environment.




Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Billing Support
  • Process accounts payable invoices and verify coding to jobs and cost categories

  • Prepare customer invoices, progress billings, and payment tracking updates

  • Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and reconciliations

  • Enter accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records

  • Support job cost tracking and project-related financial reporting

  • Assist with monthly reconciliations and spreadsheet reporting

Construction Administration & Project Support
  • Maintain subcontractor and vendor files, including insurance certificates and W-9s

  • Assist with permits, lien waivers, contracts, and project documentation

  • Support Project Managers with administrative coordination and reporting needs

  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper project files

Organization & Communication
  • Help ensure documentation is accurate, organized, and completed on time

  • Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, project teams, and customers professionally and efficiently

  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and support general office operations as needed

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially spreadsheets
