Summary

BCS is seeking a Junior Accountant professional for a full-time position.

Candidate must have at least an associate's degree in accounting or similar field of study. Having or on track to having a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

A Junior Accountant is responsible for practicing their accounting knowledge and skills in a professional environment. Their duties will include supporting the accounting department with various projects and tasks as they gain more on-hand knowledge in their field.

This person will report directly to the Internal Operations Manager. They will be responsible for the duties outlined below, along with additional record-keeping assistance for the general office and HR departments as needed:

  • Assist with month-end closing process
  • Assist with bank statement reconciliation
  • Assist with credit card receipt posting and reconciliation
  • Heavy focus on accounts receivable and billing using SedonaOffice
  • Accounts payable coding and posting
  • Assist with job costing
  • Assist with the preparation of internal reports
  • Assist with the preparation of internal billing and profitability audits
  • Journal entry preparation and posting in SedonaOffice
  • File and scan accounting documents
  • Assist with ensuring contact information for customer accounts is current and accurate
  • Assist with collecting and filing sales tax exemption forms from our customers
  • Assist with collecting W-9 forms from vendors
  • Study the accounting policies and processes of the organization and abide by them
  • Ensure the completion of assigned tasks in line with established deadline
