You will work closely with senior data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business partners to turn data into actionable insights and deploy models into production.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to end-to-end data science projects that improve product performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency, applying your strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Translate business questions into analytical approaches with clear metrics and success criteria,
- Develop, test, and validate machine learning models and statistical analyses under guidance from senior team members
- Partner with engineering and product teams to support deployment of models and analytics into production systems
- Apply best practices in data cleaning, feature engineering, model evaluation, and documentation
- Communicate findings, insights, and technical concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Continuously learn and apply new data science and machine learning techniques relevant to Lutron's products and business
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning
- Proficiency in Python or R, with working knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with common machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis
- Experience using ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar
Desired Qualifications
- Experience deploying models into production environments
- Exposure to cloud services from AWS, Azure, or similar providers
- Experience working with IoT or sensor data
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
