Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate AttorneyAmLaw 100 OpportunityCompensation

$250,000 – $390,000+

Aligned Talent Acquisition is continually seeking experienced Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorneys for opportunities with Am Law 50, Am Law 100, Am Law 200, regional, and boutique law firms throughout the Chicago market.

If you have experience advising clients on data privacy, cybersecurity, incident response, regulatory compliance, or emerging technology matters, I'd love to connect.

Ideal Background

3–7 years of data privacy, cybersecurity, or technology law experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience advising clients on U.S. and international privacy laws, including CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, HIPAA, GLBA, and other state privacy statutes

• Experience counseling clients on cybersecurity incidents, ransomware events, data breaches, and incident response

• Experience drafting and negotiating privacy policies, data processing agreements, technology agreements, SaaS agreements, and vendor contracts

• Experience conducting privacy due diligence in mergers and acquisitions is a plus

• Experience advising on AI governance, emerging technologies, digital risk management, and regulatory compliance is preferred

• Strong drafting, analytical, negotiation, and client counseling skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
