Job description

This individual is a critical member of the Data Operations team and will act as a strategic partner to investment teams, client service professionals, risk & compliance, and fund administrators as well as partner with technology teams to build APIs and automation tools that streamline data ingestion and transformation. The Data Operations team play a critical role in the firm's data strategy in alignment with investment, client, and operational goals. 

What You'll Do:

Data Strategy & Governance

  • Champion data quality standards and drive adoption of best practices across teams for data integrity, consistency, accuracy, and security across the organization.
  • Ensure scalable and resilient data infrastructure to support reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements.

Data Integration & Automation

  • Lead efforts to centralize and automate the aggregation of data from fund administrators, custodians, and other third-party sources.
  • Support the development of client reporting, investment dashboards, and operational analytics with accurate and timely data.

Data Quality and Reconciliation

  • Review Portfolio Management System for accuracy and completeness with respect to valuations, commitments, capital calls, distributions, etc. Resolve any reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Review capital calls and distributions across our various vehicles. Ensure accurate and timely notification, reconciliation of incoming funds, and delivery of funds to the relevant third party/parties.

Ideal Candidate Background:

  • 6+ years of Accounting or Operations experience within Hedge Fund, Private Equity/Venture Capital firm or Fund Administrator.
  • Required experience with Addepar or other Portfolio Management Accounting System.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies is a plus. We value team members who are curious about leveraging AI to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and drive innovation.
  • Solid understanding of private fund subscription and redemption processes.
  • Knowledge of Net Asset Value, Unfunded Commitments, IRR and TWR calculations.
  • Strong Excel knowledge (construction of pivot tables, and use of VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs and similar formulas).
  • Experience using SQL, Snowflake or an equivalent data warehouse.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000 - $150,000 together with the benefits listed above.
