Job description

Application Deadline: October 9th, 2026

The Insights and Product Analytics (IPA) organization is responsible for analyzing the business performance of all products within Gartner's Business and Technology Insights (BTI) business unit. This includes evaluating key client value drivers such as research content, client interactions, conferences, and events.

IPA also supports the BTI and Gartner Product Management (GPM) organizations by delivering analytically derived business insights across areas including client retention, associate performance, budget and financial analysis (in partnership with the finance organization), and client demand sensing.

We enable data-driven decision making by providing data, insights, and analytic tools to continuously improve our business-both operationally and strategically.

We are seeking an Associate Data Analyst Intern with a passion for analytical problem solving to join our growing team. As an intern, you will support a wide range of projects related to content, client interaction, events, role and platform analytics, demand sensing, staffing models, cost reporting, automation, associate performance analytics, standard reporting, and ad-hoc analytics. Interns work closely with IPA leadership to structure problems, identify data sources, perform analysis, and communicate findings. Projects will include collaborative, team-based work as well as opportunities for independent ownership, often involving automation and cross-functional collaboration with the Information Technology team.

High-performing interns may receive full-time offers to join Gartner's Associate Data Analyst Rotational Program upon graduation.

What You'll Do

  • Support high-impact analytical projects to drive business insights across Gartner's BTI and Product teams.
  • Develop skills in statistical analysis, executive-level communication and presentations, cross-team collaboration, and data visualization.
  • Gain hands-on experience and training with the latest LLM tools on a range of analytical and business problems.
  • Apply modern machine learning and AI techniques to real business problems with measurable client impact (e.g., defining features of high-impact content and/or client conversations, identifying top areas of client demand).
  • Collaborate with analytics, project management, and data engineering teams to support end-to-end visibility into how data science outputs influence business outcomes.
  • Assist with the setup, management, and streamlining of data pipelines for multiple data science and analytics projects.
  • Partner with Gartner's Chief Data Office (CDO) to help manage large volumes of client data.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with colleagues to deliver actionable insights that drive decision-making within the BTI and GPM organizations.
  • Effectively communicate findings to drive adoption and implementation; build dashboards and reporting as needed.
  • Own and deliver aspects of key projects , including rollout plans, success criteria, and metrics.
  • Develop domain expertise on Gartner's data, analytic tools, reports, and data infrastructure. Take initiative in problem solving, root cause analysis, and devising testing methodologies for validation, and clearly explain data sources to senior audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including data scientists and Information Technology team, to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Academic experience involving analysis of large volumes of data, with hands-on experience using analytical tools. Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, and articulate insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (2028 graduate), preferably in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, operations research, computer science, or economics.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to approach complex problems, think creatively, and communicate data-driven stories. Willingness to learn and develop these skills further.
  • Collaboration and Initiative: Ability to work effectively in teams, engage with stakeholders, and demonstrate initiative. Eagerness to learn and develop leadership and influencing skills.
  • Technical Competency: Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL, Python or R
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Location: Gartner offers a hybrid, flexible environment, with remote work and opportunities to connect with colleagues on-site. Candidates must reside within a reasonable proximity to a Gartner Center of Excellence office location (Irving, TX).
