The Senior Associate, Data Engineer will join the Data & Analytics function within our Technology division, supporting our venture and growth business by designing, building, and evolving the firm's enterprise data platform. This role will help shape the long-term vision for ICONIQ's data ecosystem by delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, artificial intelligence, and business insights.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data models, pipelines, and workflows that power the Growth data platform.
- Develop modern data architecture and engineering standards that improve platform scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Build robust data ingestion and transformation frameworks that integrate internal and third-party data into trusted, production-ready datasets.
- Lead data governance initiatives, including metadata management, data lineage, access controls, monitoring, and data quality.
- Develop data infrastructure that enables advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and enterprise knowledge management.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate evolving business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through warehouse design, query optimization, and governance best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the ongoing evolution of ICONIQ's data platform and AI capabilities.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.
- Deep expertise designing and operating enterprise-scale data platforms using Snowflake.
- Advanced experience with Structured Query Language, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong Python programming skills for data engineering, automation, orchestration, and scalable pipeline development.
- Experience building cloud-native data architectures, ingestion frameworks, and orchestration workflows.
- Proven experience implementing enterprise data governance, metadata management, lineage, access controls, and data quality practices.
- Experience supporting artificial intelligence and machine learning use cases through modern data infrastructure.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $180,000-$200,000 together with the benefits listed above.
