Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and investigate security alerts across endpoints, identity, email, cloud, and network environments
  • Identify, triage, and respond to potential cybersecurity threats and suspicious activity
  • Manage and work through SOC/security tickets from investigation through resolution or escalation
  • Assist with incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability remediation, and security documentation
  • Monitor Microsoft 365, Entra ID, endpoint security, privileged access, and application permissions
  • Support vulnerability management, penetration testing remediation, and risk assessments
  • Administer and optimize cybersecurity tools and technologies
  • Develop or support security automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
  • Assist with cloud security initiatives, including vulnerability remediation using Wiz or similar platforms
  • Support security frameworks and best practices, including NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and Microsoft Security Best Practices
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams while staying current on emerging cybersecurity threats

Qualifications:

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience investigating, triaging, and responding to cybersecurity threats
  • Working knowledge of networking, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field and/or relevant cybersecurity certification
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document and explain security findings

Preferred Experience:

  • Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel, Purview, and Intune
  • PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
  • CrowdStrike, Fortinet, or Endpoint Central
  • Azure and cloud security platforms such as Wiz
  • Security+, CySA+, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CISSP, or similar certifications

What We’re Looking For:

Someone who can go beyond simply escalating alerts. This person should be comfortable investigating suspicious activity, determining what is happening, assessing the potential risk, and taking the appropriate next steps.
