ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - CYBERSECURITY, PRIVACY & AI

Cybersecurity, Privacy & Artificial Intelligence Practice Group

Our client, a global AmLaw 50 law firm, with a globally recognized Cybersecurity, Privacy & AI practice, is seeking a highly qualified Associate Attorney to join its collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
  • 4-7 years of substantive experience in cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection matters.
  • Hands-on experience advising clients on state, federal, and international privacy laws, including strategic counseling and compliance.
  • Experience supporting deal diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions.
  • Working familiarity with data-driven technologies, including AI/ML, biometrics, and related global regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with GDPR / UK GDPR, cross-border data transfers, and international privacy regimes preferred.
  • Exposure to laws such as HIPAA, ECPA, COPPA, CAN-SPAM, VPPA, FERPA, CCPA/CPRA, and other state consumer privacy and data breach laws is a plus.
  • Experience with data breach response, incident investigations, and defense of regulatory enforcement actions brought by state attorneys general, the FTC, OCR/HHS, SEC cybersecurity regulators, or EU authorities is a plus.
  • Large law firm experience required.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex, fast-moving matters in a collaborative team environment.
  • Competitive Salary: $310,000+, commensurate with experience and class year.
