Job Summary
The Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies provides strategic leadership and oversight for university-wide initiatives, programs, and policies designed to promote student achievement, persistence, and graduation. This position leads cross-divisional collaboration between Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and other university units to ensure students have the resources, support, and environment necessary for academic and personal success. The Associate Provost will oversee units, policies, and processes in areas including academic and student success, curriculum development, scheduling, and will champion a culture of student-centered innovation. Review of applications will continue until position is filled.
Responsibilities
Key Areas of Oversight- Curriculum: Support faculty governance in undergraduate curriculum development, review, and revision processes. Oversee graduate program governance and guidance.; Academic Integrity: Direct policy development, case review, faculty training, and student education to uphold academic integrity. Provide leadership in policy enforcement related to academic and non-academic conduct, ensuring fair and educational outcomes. Oversee academic appeals processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and timely resolution.; Instructional Logistics: Lead efforts to use technology to promote effective course scheduling in order to support student success. Lead university and system-wide student success initiatives: utilizing student progress information and related data create an integrated approach to student success at all levels. Lead university efforts to achieve excellence in academic support resources and delivery.
Significant Duties & Responsibilities include- Collaborate with deans, department chairs, faculty, and student support leaders to identify barriers to student persistence and implement targeted solutions.; Supervise professional staff and provide leadership.; Serve as a key representative of the Office of the Provost on institutional committees and at external events.; Other duties in support of the university as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications include: An earned doctorate from an accredited institution.; Accomplishments and credentials sufficient to meet the requirements of the rank of Associate Professor at CSU in teaching, service and scholarly publications.; Progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education, with demonstrated impact on student success outcomes.; Experience in academic policy and faculty collaboration.; Strong understanding of retention, progression, and completion strategies.; Proven ability to work effectively across units and with a wide spectrum of constituencies.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications include: Knowledge of state/system-wide student success initiatives (e.g., Complete College Georgia, Momentum Approach, LEAP, etc..).; Experience managing budgets and/or securing external funding for student success programs.
Proposed Salary
The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000 and includes full benefits.

Conditions of Employment
