Job Description
General Digital Corporation is looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing/advertising team. General Digital is the industry leader in innovative flat screen LCD display design, integration and enhancement. We provide turnkey software solutions and consultative engineering services. Our marketing department is growing and seeks an intern who can participate in various stages of print and digital sales/marketing campaigns.
This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Assist in the creation of signage, circulars, mock ups, e-mail campaigns, on line promotion, etc.
โ€ข Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
โ€ข Assist with fulfillment of marketing offers
โ€ข Assist in database acquisition and administrative needs
โ€ข Assist with execution of trade shows
โ€ข Assist with the preparation and delivery of training materials
โ€ข Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
โ€ข Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
โ€ข Prepare presentations
โ€ข Enter contact information into contact management systems
โ€ข Provide support to social media efforts
โ€ข Maintain tracking report of public relations activity
Qualifications
General Digital is looking for an undergraduate student in the greater Hartford, CT area who is majoring in Sales, Marketing or Advertising. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position. Only 2 spots are available and we're looking to fill them by no later than the end of January 2017.
