Job description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Must fulfill all the job requirements of a UH Field Engineer (functions as a computer hardware equipment technician to include the repair and installation of personal computers, printers, terminals and other computer and telecommunication equipment). This includes assistance with networking systems including WAN/LAN/wireless infrastructure. This position may assist with maintenance procedures on networking hardware, cabling, operating systems, and infrastructure. The Field Engineer II is expected to remain current on developments in telecommunications and networking technology. This individual must have strong technical knowledge and experience in routers, bridges, IP addressing, switches, hubs, other network devices, protocols, diagnostic tools and all existing network architectures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field and one year of experience required. Three years of experience may be accepted in place of degree. A+ certification is preferred. Must have ability to work effectively as a lead in a team environment. Experience in multiple vendor and platform environments is preferred.
