Job description

IT-Network Engineer III

Client: Chevron Corporation

Responsibilities:

  • Be part of the PCN/OT Network Infrastructure team providing SCADA communication support for Pipeline & Power.
  • Provide general support for wide-area network connecting the pipeline control center located in Houston Texas with the critical monitoring points on domestically located crude and gas pipelines.
  • Commissioning & supporting field devices including RTU / Flow computers and supporting the local or remote communication to the centrally located SCADA system.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with controls for all OT network devices.
  • On-Call or after-hours support will be required to ensure minimal operational disruptions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Engineer with four to six years of experience.
  • Networking experiences include VSAT / Cellular connecting through a private 3rd party MPLS cloud
  • Cisco routers (819 / 829 devices) and switches and configuration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Cisco certification preferred
  • Willing to travel to support disaster recovery sites; but is generally less than 10% of time.

Education:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
