Job description

Overview

CTG is seeking a dependable and customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide hands-on and remote technical support for end users in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a technology professional with strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS systems.

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Duration: Ongoing Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11, Linux, and macOS systems
  • Perform system upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacements including RAM and SSD upgrades
  • Support networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN connectivity
  • Deliver in-person, phone, and remote support while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures within ticketing systems
  • Assist with workstation setups, equipment deployment, and IT inventory management

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Linux, and macOS environments
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset

Experience:
